If there were no humans currently on Earth, would the climate be warming up at present?
I think it is clear that our climate would be warming up now, even if no fossil fuels were ever dug up and burned by humans.

I just saw the movie "The Martian" starring Matt Damon. It was great. They pronounced this crater as "Skaparelli" but I thought it was "Shaparelli". Which is correct?

It has tendrils like grapes, and flower clusters and berries like grapes, but the leaves are totally different from grapes.

If nothing can escape from a black hole, I can't see how they can form in the first place. When the solar system was formed, the solar system would never have contracted into a sun and planets without radiating huge amounts of heat into empty space. If a black hole can't do this then that would seem to halt its contraction, or at least convert its contraction into an infinite asymtote such as 1/x goes to zero as x goes to infinity. Any thoughts?
