As mentioned in most of the books,

"The dc equivalent circuit of a diode is considered as a voltage cell with 'Constant Forward Voltage' (Vf)

A more accurate equivalent circuit includes the diode dynamic resistance in series with voltage cell. This takes into account the small variations in Vf that occur with change in forward current."

My Questions are:

1. Why the forward voltage( Voltage across the diode) is considered the voltage of equivalent cell? Wouldn't it make more sense to consider the inbuilt barrier potential as the voltage of equivalent cell?

2. What is the meaning of 'Constant Forward Voltage' ? The forward voltage varies. By varying the forward voltage we get different current and hence we plot the forward characteristics. What is the point in assuming forward voltage drop to be constant?

3. Or the books are actually considering barrier potential and they are naming it as constant forward voltage drop?

It is said that Centrifugal and centripetal forces do not constitute Action & Reaction pair, because they act on same body.

It is also said centripetal force does not exist but only reaction exists.

What is the correct meaning of these statements?

When a body moving in straight line is forced to take a circular path that force is called centrifugal force and Reaction to it by the body in opposite direction is called centripetal force.

Then is it not action reaction pair?
