My teacher said it has something to do with the nerves acting like a pump

Hardy Weinberg theory predicts that if all other factors remain constant the gene poopl will have the same composition generation after generation.

Constant factors that are required:

Large population

random mating

no mutations

no migration

reproducing organisms are not evolving

equal viability, fertility and mating ability of all genotypes.

Obviously these factors are impossible to be met all the time. Why do people use the Hardy Weinberg theory still?

If in nature a population rarely meets the ideal conditions for genetic equilibrium then why bother with the above principle?
