I ask questions, sometimes i answer questions. One thing is sure, the answers are in our minds.
Was Jesus Christ immortal when he died?

I've been cheeky and asked two questions, but that's more a spite to yahoo that mean't as an offence to the reader. :)
I speak to a lot of believers who claim God speaks directly to them, i find it hard to believe personally, as an ex-Christian, i didn't hear anything. But it's interesting to read about other people's experiences.
Thanks in advance.
Atheists, eH you can answer but only because i said so. :)

2 คำตอบReligion & Spirituality9 ปี ที่ผ่านมาOmnipresence: the state of being everywhere at once. Does that mean God is in Hell, or has a presence there?
If not then surly God hasn't the power of Omnipresence?
Don't get all lemon twisted knickers with me, i'm playing devil's advocate here.
I was also told that God is present within all the souls of men (and women), that he never leaves a soul and remains present forever and that once a soul leaves the vessel ( the human body) that they all return to the one genuine Spirit known as ''God''.
Again not that i believe this, i'm just looking for some clarification on the matters according to those that do, or those that don't believe.
Thanks, peas, luv and fish and chips.

I was reading that: ''Biblical verses can only be understood by studying the original Hebrew text ― which reveals many discrepancies in the Christian translation.
A. Virgin Birth, the Christian idea of a virgin birth is derived from the verse in Isaiah 7:14 describing an "alma" as giving birth. The word "alma" has always meant a young woman, but Christian theologians came centuries later and translated it as "virgin." This accords Jesus' birth with the first century pagan idea of mortals being impregnated by gods.
B. Suffering Servant, Christianity claims that Isaiah chapter 53 refers to Jesus, as the "suffering servant."
In actuality, Isaiah 53 directly follows the theme of chapter 52, describing the exile and redemption of the Jewish people. The prophecies are written in the singular form because the Jews ("Israel") are regarded as one unit. Throughout Jewish scripture, Israel is repeatedly called, in the singular, the "Servant of God" (see Isaiah 43:8). In fact, Isaiah states no less than 11 times in the chapters prior to 53 that the Servant of
God is Israel.
When read correctly, Isaiah 53 clearly [and ironically] refers to the Jewish people being "bruised, crushed and as sheep brought to slaughter" at the hands of the nations of the world. These descriptions are used throughout Jewish scripture to graphically describe the suffering of the Jewish people (see Psalm 44).
Isaiah 53 concludes that when the Jewish people are redeemed, the nations will recognise and accept responsibility for the inordinate suffering and death of the Jews.''
Why don't Christians accept the Hebrew scholars knowledge of the language and the original texts?

8 คำตอบReligion & Spirituality9 ปี ที่ผ่านมาGod implies there is more than one God in Genesis 3:22?
Genesis 3:22
World English Bible
Yahweh God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil. Now, lest he put forth his hand, and also take of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever..."
King James Bible
And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
New International Version (©1984)
And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever."
the usage of the word ''us'' implies there is more than one God unless God is a schizophrenic which would explain why he is talking to himself about Adam (or man)
but if there is more than one God, then God doesn't seem like a schizophrenic because he is talking to a different God/s about Adam (or man) and therefore very sain
or am i way off base ?
He was speaking to the other members of the Trinity. Then why does He ignore them for the rest of the Bible?
God was talking to the Angels...Um, Angels are not Gods.
Any thoughts?
13 คำตอบReligion & Spirituality9 ปี ที่ผ่านมาYahweh has a spouse. Is ''Asherah'' Yahweh's Goddess?
This was what i was told.
''There are temple inscriptions referring to "Yahweh and his Asherah", who was the Goddess believed to be the consort of the hebrew God. Asherah is also known as Sophia, goddess of wisdom and if you read Ecclesiastes, she is pretty much described as the Word, the same term used in the gospel of John in "in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with god, etc..." Substitute Ashera or Sophia for ''Word'' and it gets really interesting.''
Wiki says:
The Book of Jeremiah written circa 628 BC possibly refers to Asherah when it uses the title "queen of heaven" (Hebrew: לִמְלֶכֶת הַשָּׁמַיִם) in Jer 7:18 and Jer 44:17–19, 25. (For a discussion of "queen of heaven" in the Hebrew Bible, see Queen of heaven.)
Israel and the Old Testament (1997, p. 141), that there is warrant for seeing an Asherah as, variously, "a wooden-aniconic-stela or column of some kind; a living tree; or a more regular statue." A rudely carved wooden statue planted on the ground of the house was Asherah's symbol, and sometimes a clay statue without legs. Her cult images— "idols"— were found also in forests, carved on living trees, or in the form of poles beside altars that were placed at the side of some roads. Asherah poles are mentioned in the books of Exodus, Deuteronomy, Judges, the Books of Kings, the second Book of Chronicles, and the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Micah.
More information about Asherah and Yahweh, too long to post in it's entirety, unfortunately.
