  • why didn't hopsin blow up?

If you don't know who hopsin is, go on youtube right now and look up the ill mind of hopsin 3, 4 and 5. He sings about real **** like how the rap industry is just a bunch of stupid entertainers with no meaning in their music. he talks about how drugs are a waste of time and how annoying people's social habits are. At the same time, he has great double entendres and funny *** puns. He is actually a lyrical genius with real subject matter and a cool flow. Why is he unknown while dumbasses like drake who just rephrase the same song a thousand times with no meaning behind it is rolling in money. Hopsin actually has more skill then almost every single so called "rapper" today and yet he is unknown. Are people just that ignorant?

  • is 16 too young for a tattoo?

Ok so my grandpa, who I love dearly, just got an artificial heart machine and probably isn't going to live a lot longer. I love him and want to honor him. When I was young he taught me how to fish so I plan on getting a tattoo of a fishhook (really simple black outline) on my foot kind of on the side of my ankle. Im guessing I'll be around 17 when I get it, maybe a little bit younger.

I'd probably try to hide it, but I know my parents would eventually see it. The question is, would they be mad? I mean it's a small tattoo that can easily be hidden and it has a big meaning to me so I can't tell if I should go through with it and just deal with them being mad at me for a few days or what.

If you are a parent right now, would you be mad? or would you understand?

  • what happened to music?

I listen to pretty much every genre of music with the exception of country and scream/emo whatever. Sometimes I'm in the mood for some classical George Gershwin. Other times I want to listen to Count Basie and Duke Ellington and some good old big band swing. Sometimes I'll listen to dubstep and house. Currently I'm in the mood for Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin and I can't stop listening to it. Sometimes when I drive I like to blast some ignorant rap.

I appreciate pretty much all styles of music. However, the pop music songs that are playing on the radio and everyone is always listening to sound absolutely horrendous to me. I know that I love all different sorts of songs and genres but every song I hear now is just whiny repetitive bullshit with poorly written shallow lyrics. People who call themselves rappers have no variation in any of their songs or topics. What happened to music being a canvas for expression. What happened to OGs like Blueprint rapping about real life. The only popular group I actually like is Odd Future right now. Lots of people think they suck, but they probably have the sickest lyrics in the game right now and their beats have super dark vibes. Then there's whiney little emo bands just screaming over detuned guitars playing the same 3 power chords. Not only does this sound terrible, but they are also really unoriginal. Sure there are sell out in every genre, but the worst is those radio hits.

I'm not even sure what genre to call lady gaga, and that call me later singer, and any "artist" who is really well known right now. Their songs are like robots. They are repetitive, emotionless, and efficient at generating large sums of money. How is this the music that identifies our generation. How could the top charts have held greats like Jimi Hendrix and the Stones and now those same charts have rihanna at the top of their list? The next person I have ask me if I heard the new Pitbull song is getting a foot to the ******* throat.

Popular music has been getting shittier every year since the 90s so imagine what it's going to be like in 10 years or maybe 20? I would rather listen to a bunch of deaf people arguing then whatever song is #1 right now. I can't even imagine how they're going to make music shittier but I'm sure it will.

All I can say is holy **** I hate my generation and I seriously hope one other person out there enjoys real music.

  • Who knows some good classical music?

I love some good old George Gershwin. My favorite song by him is Rhapsody in Blue. Who has some good suggestions of songs like that. Also, I love jazz (Count Basie, Duke ellington, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie) so if you have any jazz suggestions that would be cool too.

  • Why Do We Exist On Earth Right Now?

This isn't asking what the meaning of life is or what purpose we have, I'm asking why do we exist on this earth? What is the reason that the universe was created? What do you beleive?

    11 คำตอบReligion & Spirituality8 ปี ที่ผ่านมา
  • What is the point of existence without God?

I just asked a question on how God must exist and I mostly got responses from assholes who just gave me one sentence calling me an idiot. You can read my other question if you want, but basically I want to know what is the point of existence without some sort of a higher power which I believe to be god.

Think of all the little systems that make up the world from chemicals in our brain giving us impulses to do things and things like the food chain keeping nature balanced. There is a countless number of these little systems that make up the way the world works and everything is pretty much perfectly balanced. Beyond that think of why you are alive and think about how every single person on this planet has just as intricate of a life story as you. We are all living on this earth so what is the reason? If there is no God then what reason do we have to be sitting here breathing?

Please don't bother answering if you're going to give me a little one sentence answer about how I must be an idiot because God isn't real blah blah blah. I obviously have my own belief so I'm asking this as more of a discussion question because I want to see what other point of views are. I really want to know why people think we live and what purpose we have.

And if your answer includes tldr than you might want to leave the religion and spirituality section since most of the questions here are like this.

  • how could god not exist?

The other day I got really high and I was thinking about how nature works. Everything is so perfectly planned out and science backs it up. This is kind of a weird example, but it is one we can all relate to. Think about an orgasm. It's caused by a bunch of chemicals in the brains activating receptors in the pleasure center after the completion of sex. This is like a built in reward system that we humans and all other animals have. It's not just so that we can feel good though, it gives us a reason to have sex. Sex means reproduction which means keeping the species alive. So basically we have a reward system built into our brains that rewards us for doing things to keep our species alive. That's not just some coincidence. There is no way that didn't require planning to see that all animals need to reproduce and there has to be some motivation. Even if that was some strange coincidence then there are other examples. A similar response, yet less intense, occurs when we eat food. We must eat to stay alive so the brain rewards us when we eat. It also works the other way. Pain protects us from actually harming our bodies. Breaking a limb would make it harder to gather food or fend off predators, so pain protects us from that and tells us when we are doing things that could have an adverse affect on our survival. Little things like this are experienced constantly throughout the day. Every little feeling we get can be traced back to helping keep us alive. If there was some explanation for nature even existing, that's one thing, but there is no way that all of these little internal things just happened. You cannot tell me that there was not a great deal of planning involved from these little internal systems to perpetual cycles found in nature like the food chain that has kept life on this planet for millions of years. This is something to think about for even the most devout atheist or just anyone who has any sort of doubts in the existence of God. As for me, I find that just the way all of the chemicals and systems in our body work in harmony to be fascinating and there is just no way to explain how it could've been planned out so well. Finally, what reason would we have to live right now if there was nothing. All of the literally countless interconnected systems that work in unison on this planet and everywhere else in the vast universe must have some purpose. There is just no reason for anything to exist without God. I don't possess the linguistic skills to convey how pointless it would be for us to exist without a God and how certain I am that he is always watching over us.

  • why are people so uptight?

I've been reading some old questions on here from parents. Basically they all say things like my kid gets straight As, participates in sports, extracurriculars etc, but they've been smoking weed for a while should I let them smoke weed? So here's the thing. Why don't parents want their kids to do drugs? so they don't mess up their lives. Basically the only ways to really mess up your life permanently by smoking weed as a kid since you can't overdose or die from it, One would be to get bad grades or not do sports or whatever and get into a shitty college or not get into one at all. The other way would be to get arrested for possesion. Maybe, I could understand if they live in a state where weed is illegal, but still, as long as they aren't dealing they probably won't run into trouble. In a state where weed is legal, then the only thing to be worried about is not getting into college. However, if the kid is getting good grades and doing sports and extracurriculars, then clearly weed isn't having a negative impact in their lives. It's not physically harmful unlike alcohol so wouldn't it make sense for parents to let their kids smoke weed if they're getting good grades? People are like noooo you're being a bad parent and they will start having their grades slip. So if that happens then don't let them smoke anymore, it's just like taking away other privilages. My grades have actually improved since I've started smoking weed again. I use it to reward myself on weekends for studying during the week. I have a job and a 4.0 so I'm more accomplished than my friends who don't smoke. All I'm saying is that if kids can use weed responsibly and are doing well in school then there is no reason to take it away from them and parents should be happy they aren't out drinking which actually has the potential for addiction. It's time for people to wake up and form their opinions on their own research and logic instead of bullshit force fed to them by the government and their parents.

On another note, stop saying "weed is stronger than it has ever been" what you mean is it's more concentrated. More THC content would mean 1 gram of weed from the 60s would have less THC then 1 gram of weed now. It's not like people are getting higher, it just means you would have to smoke more 60s weed to get the same effects. And the greatest possible intoxication plateaus after a certain point. You can smoke as much as you want, but you can only get so high, therefore the whole argument of "stronger weed" is completely invalid and is just another attempt to scare stupid people who can't logically think things out for themselves. Once again, wake up people and do some research for yourselves, smoke some weed and see how negatively it affects you and maybe you'll realize how many people talk **** about things they know nothing about. Anyone can repeat facts they hear from somewhere else, figure out your beliefs from your own experiences.

  • What should I Paint on my fence?

My friends and I have a mini ramp in the backyard and behind it is a huge wooden fence so we have a 4 x 8 space to paint something cool behind it, but were not really sure what. We thought it would be cool to do like an acid trip style psychedelic piece or a cartoony style piece of people skating a bunch of stuff, but what do you guys think would be cool?

  • Is an overdose suicide?

When I'm super old, if I get cancer or something and have a lot of pain I want to die. My plan is to just start shooting heroin and go out feeling great and just keep shooting heroin everyday until i die. However, I don't want to go to hell and suicide ends people up in hell. So would taking heroin and eventually overdosing count as suicide to God? I mean I won't be planning on dying any specific time, but I would be aware that each time I shoot more it increases my chances of dying. So I can't decide if that would be suicide in which case it would not be worth burning in hell for eternity, or if I would be ok because I didn't intend to die each specific time I just knew it was a possibility.

Also, this is all when I'm older, I have no intention of killing myself or anything so nobody freak out. These are just my plans for when I'm dying of some terrible disease.

  • What is with this phony "War on drugs?"?

Ok so this is the problem. People think that if drugs were all legalized that everyone would turn into a drug user. That is simply not true. People choose to use drugs or do pretty much anything else based on their own morals. Legalizing drugs is not going to all of the sudden turn everyone into junkies. The same amount of people that currently use drugs would end up continuing to use drugs. In fact, drug use would be safer for users because instead of dangerous black market trade and people cutting drugs with other substances, they could be regulated like alcohol so people would be sure they are getting pure drugs. Personally, the reason I think is most important is that the government shouldn't tell us what to do. It's my body so why should anyone else try to tell me what I can put into it. The only person affected by drug use is the user. All drugs do is waste our money with organizations like the stupid DEA and put innocent, harmless people in jail which wastes even more of our money. Maybe you think the government should control every aspect of our lives, but even then look what happened with prohibition. Everyone knows that we can learn from history so lets take a look at prohibition. Did that decrease crime? No. In fact, prohibition created the black market for alcohol (EXACTLY how the current drug laws do today) which lead to boatloads of money for organized crime. This is literally exactly what is happening today with gangs and Mexican drug cartels. Making drugs illegal makes decreases safety for EVERYONE. Illegal drugs are the main fuel of crime in the U.S. and putting users in jail is not helping them if that's what the government is claiming to do. Everyone pull your heads out of your asses and realize that this "War on Drugs" does nothing except create crime and waste our money, which we sure seem to be missing a lot of. End this bullshit war on drugs and give people in this country the freedom to do what they want with their bodies, especially when you can practically end crime in doing so and save the state a shitload of money.

  • How is the FCC around?

Ok the first ammendment protects free speech and says the government should do nothing to infringe our right to free speech. So why do our tax dollars go to the FCC who does nothing more then infringe our first amendment right. why does the government get to decide what words are appropriate for us to hear. And more importantly, how are people letting their tax dollars be wasted on such a stupid stupid cause. My school can't even afford to keep our teachers, but millions are going to an organization that censors radio and tv. They clearly violate the first amendment and I'm curious as to how they are still given tax dollars to try and control any little aspect of our lives that they can.

Ok so I skateboard, usually in pools and mini ramps, and i fall on my side. Everytime this happens, I get this feeling like a bruise on my hip. It hurts just like any other bruise, but I never see any color. I've heard you can bruise a muscle and not the skin, but I was just curious if that is the cause or if anyone can explain what this is.
