Do you think John Terry is a good captain?

I'm not sure. He displayed bad captaincy in the CL final for example.
Spitting at Tevez for a start. He could of been sent off for that. 
By taking the last penalty, he went for glory, he's not a regular penalty taker so he should of let someone else take it. Good captains should not be glory hogs.

I don't care what he does for Chelsea... but England doesn't want him.

All that crap about "Oh he helped England qualify for the WC" is a load of bull.

He was Captain for the Euros 2008 qualification and we fvcked that up?

Most Chelsea fans on here probably aren't even English so they obviously don't give two 5hits about England being made a laughing stock cos we have a moral scumbag as the Captain...

There are many players who miss penalties. That doesn't make them a poor captain. He hasn't taken a penalty after that! And what effect he has on the team determines if he is a good captain. Without him, Chelsea's defense is often null and so is the team. He brings confidence to the side that does give everyone else a sense of responsibility as well. If not the best, he surely is a good captain.

He took that penalty because that's what Captain does sometime, and supposedly it was Drogba who should have taken it so he saw it that he should take responsibility as Captain to step forth and take it. 
 
I dont see whats wrong with that, he`s not the first player to have done that. 
 
Besides, whats the point of going back to last decade to judge a player? Terry has gone through alot but because he has he also has the experience and he has also gone through alot of good as well such as leading Chelsea to numerous trophies and as long as he is still playing he will want to win that Champions League trophy because of the miss he did. 
 
Most players would never get up after what Terry had gone through, but just last year he lead Chelsea to their first Double and most successful season in history - that is a TRUE CAPTAIN. 
 
Deal with it, and he`s not a glory hogs you fool.

During Manchester United vs. Chelsea (2010-11 EPL season) Rooney, Berbatov , Nani couldn't break the defence or get past Terry.
