Start from the very beginning of the empire. At Alexander, or the beginning of the republic. Too much info is actually sometimes worse than too much. Always start at the beginning.

Also ask your teacher for important references. Go online and use those keywords and more, if you can find some. Also remember to go to the library, look for books titled Rome, or Roman Empire. Basically anything having to do with Rome.

And if you do plan to use sources, try not to copy word for word. 4 words in a row at a time would be considered plagerism. It's hard not to do it, but since its illegal, we have to.
