Can you show ur friends that ur offline while online in PS3?

I want to know if u could do that because my friends keep on. Bothering me in Black Ops. Sending messeges & I wanted to know if u could do that so it wouldn't make them feel bad because I keep rejecting their invites??

    I believe you can show you're busy, but not offline.

    Unfortunately you can't hide your online status in PC you CAN hide your online status on steam also in the 360 but I believe you cant in PS3... just tell them your really busy they might listen to you :P

    go on your psn account by pressing your home button and choose appear offline

    i havent been on it since its been hacked so it may be different now
