Scientifically speaking... No... No way no how are we physically capable of controlling the rapid uncontrolled growth of a caner cell... Without taking evolution into effect and eventually becoming immune to it entirely... Because our current immune system is next to worthless to cancer cells as there isn't necessarily a virus for the white blood cells to kill.

Religiously speaking... There is a positive correlation between Faith and number of survived cancers... However this can also be attributed to the improved techniques of the treatments.
