My labtop's software problem (windows7)?

Question

i just bought my labtop like yesterday but im not familiar with windows7. Everytime i shut the labtop down i need to close every program first. There was a sticky notes program that i left it open and im not sure what did i do but i think i forced shut down it.(i did that once and it was find lol) When i turn on my labtop again i found out that the sticky notes program is not working anymore.

Another problem is about the back up file, i dont know what it is. Anyway i tried to save it on the hard drive but i couldnt do it. And it seemed like this happended after i forced shut down the windows last time.

Last but not least, i have windows messenger with the labtop, i had a msn plus! with my last labtop so i downloaded for this one too, but it's not working so i thought that the msn is not the most recent one.I downlaod the windows messenger essential (is it the right one to download?)and it's still not working, Besides, the background part of the msn changed to white, it's kinda wired but i dont know if that's the way its suppose to be.

Because you forced the shutdown it corrupted the program. just wait in future. do a sytem restore. Start/allprogram/acesories/system tools/system restore. that should solve issue 1

issue 2 will dissapear.

as for issue 3 its not a problem. msn litterally just changed over to a new design and its PANTS! msn plus you have to get a windows 7 compatable version and im not sure if there is one but i think there is.
